5 Crazy Fashin Colored Contacts Lenses For a Wild New Look
There are more ways to change your appearance than with regular colored contact lenses. Lenses are available in some of the weirdest, widest designs imaginable - and even a number that you can't. There are joke lenses, creepy lenses, and others that are simply bizarre. Most can be worn even if you have astigmatism and need toric contact lenses. Here are five colored contact lenses that you may never have considered:
1. Hypno-Eyes. You can wear contacts that have a spiral pattern around the iris, just like the old-fashined hypnosis wheels. Maybe you can make people do your bidding just by staring them down - these are subtle enough that people might not notice them at first, and startling once they finally do.
2. Happy Face eyes. Imagine your iris and pupil as a bright yellow happy face. The lenses are transparent enough that your sight isn't impaired in any way, and the contacts themselves are silly enough to elicit laughs wherever you go.
3. Cat's eyes. One of the most popular type of theatrical colored contact lens, you can give yourself cat's eyes with their remarkable slit-type of iris, in a variety of colors. Yellow cat's eyes have a sinister quality, while green is just very, very feline. Like other types of colored contacts, these will change the color of your eyes without affecting your field of vision in any way.
4. Zombie eyes fashin. If you seriously want to creep out your friends, neighbors or family, you can get contacts to give yourself zombie eyes - small black pupils surrounded by white irises. It's hard to say why these colored contacts are so disturbing, but they are.
5. Wild colored eyes. The range of colors in theatrical colored contact lenses is amazing. You can have anything from purple eyes with flecks of gold to neon yellow or orange (giving a similar appearance to frog eyes) to deep red "vampire" eyes. These, and many other types of colored contacts, are very popular with teens and adults who enjoy the supernatural and role-playing games about ghouls. They're both attractive and a bit scary - offering an interesting twist on the whole purpose of wearing colored contact lenses.(http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Steve_Mathews)

Fashion Jeans
Fashion Jeans
There has never been a wider variety of one particular style of clothing. Jeans are a quintessential American staple that has grown to be worn by every sector of society. No longer are jeans simply blue and stiff, though that old classic still remains. Some hits for the spring and summer include jeans dusted with glitter, ripped jeans and denim shorts.
Studded pockets originated during the gold rush when the found gold outweighed the denim pockets and caused them to tear. One way to rock your denim is to express their affiliation with the gold rush by wearing jeans with gold star dust brushed across the thighs. Metallics in fashion are expanding their territory past jewelry and are finding their way on to fabrics due to the new adherent qualities of finishes on fabrics. When daisy dukes are not an option long jeans can still be worn, even in the heat. Ripped jeans have their place in history but new styles are tearing down to threads. Unraveled stringy jeans are barely holding together this summer but as they fall apart the legs will be exposed to the summer air.
The more destroyed they are, the better. Black fashion jeans look particularly nice in shreds and they look great with almost everything except a date to a nice restaurant. They can be shredded by opening a hole in the pant and dancing around and another way to rip them up is with a cheese greater. Very detailed holes and shapes can be created by opening individual seams or groups of seams with the wonderful seam ripper invention that are conveniently found in convenience stores. Denim shorts are the classic casual summer bottom and the best thing about summer shorts is the jeans from last year can magically transform into cut offs with the swipe of a scissor. Because the destroyed look is in the shorts do not have to look perfectly tailored.
Zippers, studs and embellishments are great for people with small behinds because they add a bit of eye grabbing detail. Others can dress up denim shorts with belts that wrap around the waist twice and are worn low slung. The best aspect of denim in the summer is the ultimate freedom of movement they provide for riding bikes to the grocery store or walks in the park to keep your legs toned and shaped up. Kill two birds with one stone.(http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Mae_Alexander )

Fashion Stores
What Future For Brick Built Fashion Stores?
Shop from home, shop on the Internet, or shop from a catalogue. Whatever you call it and whatever method you choose, they show no signs of declining as shopping opportunities.
The question is: where does that leave traditional brick built fashion stores?
For most of us today, Internet shopping is an everyday occurrence, so it's hard to believe that it was just fourteen short years ago that the first Internet shopping transaction took place when a single compact disc was sold online in the USA. Compare that with this year's estimated online sales of over 45 billion pounds in the UK alone and it's clear that the trend from bricks and mortar retailing to Internet retailing is going to cause some serious headaches for traditional high street fashion stores.
Clearly this is much more than a blip. Online shopping is clearly here to stay, but why? What's so special about an environment where you can't even touch the products you're going to buy?
Well, as a consumer we have been completely spoilt. There can't be too many fabrics and textures that we are unaware of, so when an online description says something like soft, sheer, satin, we have a pretty good idea of what that feels like. In short, we're filling in the blanks of our online shopping trip with some previous real world shopping experiences.
We no longer have to take ourselves off to town or to a retail park to be presented with a very limited amount of choice, in a limited amount of space. Having that option is nice, but not necessary in this day and age. More and more the choice is to shop online and choose from a much greater range of styles, sizes and prices.
The same fate could have befallen catalogue and mail order retailers. Very few of them had a high street presence anyway, so when the Internet began to take hold there was a concern that these shopping channels would become redundant, but again, thanks to the many benefits of having an online presence, most, if not all catalogue and home shopping companies have survived the transition from print to Internet very successfully.
An even better option fashion store for the online consumer is the virtual shopping centre, where dozens if not hundreds of retailers set out their stall on equal footing whether they are long established or a week old!
Is there a need for a one stop shopping website that presents consumers with the best that e-tailing has to offer.... clearly there is. Go a step further and offer a one stop shop that offers the same great e-tailing choice, but with a further option to request a physical, printed catalogue to be delivered directly to the consumers front door, and the whole online shopping experience starts to look extremely attractive.
It's very hard to see how traditional brick built fashion stores can retain their expensive high street presence. Maybe the future is to scale down even further the all encompassing scale of their product ranges on display in favour of small taster ranges of clothing with a strong push to drive their customers online for extra sizes and choice. It's a decision that I'm certain is producing some furrowed brows.
What does this mean us as the customer? In short wherever we decide shop, we now have a fantastic number of options when deciding to part with our hard earned cash.
Happy shopping!(EzineArticles.com)

Fashion Management
Value Management and Fashions
During the past 20 years, I have supported businesses located across Europe and the USA through the journey of Value Management. These enterprises could be categorized as Start Ups, Stable Businesses and Radical Downsizers, and I would help deliver Value Management in a manner tailored to their lifestage. In the current economic climate, the priority for a business at whatever stage can be argued to be survival. Those more enlightened and confident organizations are considering preparations for growth. Research in October 2009 shows that 15% of UK businesses are looking to increase borrowings as business confidence begins to pick up. Amongst these companies, the balance of borrowing to expand versus borrowing to stay afloat is 2 to 1. The freeze at the banks may be showing signs of initial thawing, nevertheless external capital is still relatively difficult to come by.
The resources is one side of the equation which Value Management is concerned with. On the other is the needs and wants of stakeholders. I would like to share some thoughts with you about how Value Management works in action and what mistakes might be made along the way. I'm going to present to you some of the fads and fashions in Value Management which, by this very description, will only have a short lifespan and won't lead to sustainable improvement. Finally, I'd also like to present a flavour of best practices I have developed and witnessed over the years in trying to strike the all important balance between needs and resources. I hope to exemplify that Value Management is an ongoing process, about relationships, and not about isolated gains.
The Tools approach to Value Management.
Every time I have been involved with any sort of management tool I have come across common challenges, some of which I have listed below:
* Urgent actions and quick fixes are expected.
* Solutions are implemented before the problem is recognized.
* Low hanging fruit are attacked first.
* Leadership is delegated.
* Impressive paper savings somehow fail to get to the bottom line.
* Actions are aimed at waste elimination but are not connected to Customer Value.
* Company X could do it, so it must be right.
* Actions are focused in one department.
* Failure is punished: success is not shared.
* Process improvement is implemented without people buy-in.
Are there any points on this list which you recognize? Clearly you are not alone.
The Techniques approach to Value Fashion Management.
My experience of using Techniques is a bit like farming, where the full cycle - preparation, planting, maintenance, harvesting, cash-in - must be employed to gain the desired results. In my recent experience I have come across several instances where a fragmented approach had been taken, and I'd cite the following as typical of these. I was introduced to a company where the improvement techniques were being implemented in what was believed to be the priority departments: the (front line) call centre and production. My first task was to change the focus to the departments responsible for cash in and cash out, as well as a thorough examination of the full Value Chain.
Again, is there anything in here which you recognize?
Businesses rely on customer spending for something they perceive has value. If the cost of provision is lower than the value, then profit normally flows. Put simply like this, Value Management would appear to be a vital consideration for businesses. Here's my summary of how we can practically use the tenets of Value Management to survive these difficult times; recover our business, and even look to the end of the recession as a growth opportunity.
Borrow from somewhere. This is possible, but unlikely and it might well be expensive.
Release energy from the balance sheet, mainly focusing on fixed assets and working capital. A reduction in overall inventory and speeding up the number of inventory turns would be practical steps to release working capital. Similarly, simplifying the Value Chain and freeing up bottle necks gives a good place to start. For service companies, cash could be released by carefully managing receivables, or selling assets.
Deploy the best talents of the employees on Value creation.I have found many examples of the best people being used to simply check the work of others which is a complete waste of their talent, demotivating, and a serious blockage to real improvement. Our best staff are always our best way forward but they are often inappropriately assigned.
Communicate the company direction to everyone. I have seen so many poor examples of this key item. As a minimum, a good communication system needs clear feedback and ownership by people who can make a difference. Leadership is not a one way "command" process.
Focus on profitable customers, and reduce the range of suppliers. I have found many cases of loss making customers being subsidized by others for no real reason. Similarly, too many cases where inter company or inter department so-called sales confuse the real profitability. In one extreme case the sales team were paid large bonuses for increasing sales when in fact real sales had dropped, but this was hidden by inter company inventory movements. Reducing the variation in suppliers will often assist freeing up working capital as the amount of inventory needed is reduced.
Value Management is an on-going mission. As listed above, fashionable tools or techniques are used for short term gain. They are not sustainable. When all the elements of the Value Chain are linked and the improvement benefits are shared, sustainability can be achieved. This means that relationship development is critical to success, especially the relationships to the cash generators.
I hope that these personal experiences and pointers are of use to you. The road through survival, stability and on to recovery and growth is a challenging one.(EzineArticles.com)

Fashion Website
How Fashion Houses and Designers Can Use Website
A quick search online will reveal that many of the major fashion houses not only have websites, but use them in creative ways. Fashion is an industry built on fantasy, to a great degree. Those fantasies are constructed in glossy magazines oriented to professionals in general (Vanity Fair) and to women who follow the trends (Elle). The online experience is a multidimensional tool to expand on designer fashions and the yearly line of products.
Gucci has a website that rivals some of the major car makers for quality, use of multimedia and focus. You can choose from sites oriented to several different continents. One of the intriguing features of the Gucci site is its frame-by-frame layout of their current ad campaign. The value of the advertising in keeping Gucci "current" is made evident by its prominence as a website feature.
Some fashion websites that you wouldn't expect to see doing it are retailing to the public directly from their websites. There's a corporate area for promotional materials and haute couture, and a retail section for deals on the latest products. Companies that engage in online retail include Dior, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein - not a great surprise - along with Versace; Armani; Giancarlo Ferre and Prada, companies that you wouldn't expect to see retailing on the web.
A well developed website can take the designs showcased in model photography and on the runways and present them in a manner that makes them much more accessible to women other than twenty-something anorexics. Visual tools can be used to rotate a dress, suit, jacket or pair of pants 360 degrees. Short video pieces can show a garment and provide voice-over describing its practicality, range of use, glamour or whatever factor the company wants to highlight.
Web searches on fashion turn up a large selection of generic fashion sites that gain their revenue from advertising. One of their principal content highlights is always a list of designer web sites. In one case, apparelsearch.com, the site lists fashion designers and design houses in three categories: website for corporate information, for retail opportunity, and for wholesale connections. That is valuable, down-to-the-rack-sale advertising for even the most well established houses. And it's free.
Fashion designers that cater to men, women and children can lay out their product lines for "the entire family" in one location - something that is difficult if not impossible using the magazine format. At best, the marketer would be buying ads in three different print genres. The web also allows fashion houses to segment in other ways. Click on Donna Karen and you'll find a web site that offers her accessory line up. Try DKNY and you'll find clothing.
Designers use the web in many functional mixtures. Fendi has an area for media inquiries that includes press releases and photos. It has an e-shopping area (U.S. only) for accessories. For the rest, there is a list of their boutiques in the United States. And there is an absolutely incomprehensible video with a maddening electronica overdub that will not stop repeating itself and drive you crazy, just like alongside the runway. Armani has a full-blown merchandising area, along with a list of its retail site in the country. You can order the items you don't need to try on, and find out where to try on the items that require a fitting check.(EzineArticles.com)

Tips to Selecting Eco Fashion Clothes
'Eco fashion' is a relatively new term in the fashion industry and it basically refers to clothes and accessories that are produced responsibly and are made using eco-friendly products. According to STEP (Sustainable Technology Education Product), eco-fashion clothes pay attention to "the environment, working conditions of the people in the [fashion] industry and the health of the consumers." Thus, these clothes are the result of a conscious attempt to strike the perfect balance with nature while keeping all parties happy.
As you can see, eco-fashion clothes have a stringent criterion to live up to. So, they are made using natural, recycled organic raw materials. It is important that eco fashion clothes be organic because only then can they serve the purpose. For instance, most of our clothes are made of cotton. But, did you know that cotton crop accounts for a large share of pesticides used today? Thus, the thrust of eco fashion clothes is to use products that do not harm the environment in anyway, actively or passively. Eco-fashion clothes even go so far as to shun harsh, artificial chemicals and dyes. Additionally, these clothes are made in a responsible environment, by people who are earning fair wages for the honest labor they put in.
Some of the characteristics of true-blue eco-fashion is:
* These clothes are generally locally made. So, they are made of eco-friendly materials.
* Eco-fashion is 100% organic. Organic material is made using very little pesticide, if any.
* Eco-friendly clothes are made in a fair and honest environment. You may probably have to pay more for these clothes, but you can wear them with pride and happiness because you know that the people manufacturing these clothes are paid their fair share. Thus, these clothes are made in an eco-conscious manner and are produced by eco-conscious companies.
* Eco-fashion is recycled. Vintage stores have some of the best collections of recycled clothes. These clothes are trendy and they make use of recycled scarves, t-shirts, costumes and curtains.
These days, you can see an increasing desire to go green. Many superstars take great pride in showcasing their eco-fashion clothes. Others have even resorted to shocking advertisements in order to draw attention to the exploitation of animals in producing fashionable clothes. With all the negativity associated with it, fashion, as we knew it, is slowly undergoing a revolution. Today, 'eco-fashion' is displayed in high profile dos like the Fashion Week in NY and London. Many upscale retailers are also happy to house these products. That is why many designers are producing striking designs, styles and colors in eco-friendly clothes. With all this activity, the emerging green 'belt' of the world is undoubtedly catching the attention of many, many people.
Eco fashion clothes are generally made with 100% organic cotton, bamboo fiber, hemp or cashmere. Many of the dresses so produced are chic, elegant and sexy enough to leave people gasping with delight. Eco-fashion clothes are an attempt to keep nature clean and pure. It is an attempt to combine the needs of the society with the demands of the earth.(EzineArticles.com)
